In 1938 Norfolk Vepco Employees Federal Credit Union obtained its charter pursuant to the provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act. At that time the credit union served members employed by Virginia Electric and Power Company in Norfolk Virginia and their immediate families.

In 1986 the credit union changed its name to Tidewater Dominion Employees Federal Credit Union and in 1989 amended the field of membership to include employees and persons retired as pensioners or annuitants of Virginia Power and Virginia Natural Gas within the greater Tidewater area, employees of this credit union, and immediate family members.

Today Tidewater Dominion Employees FCU continues to serve Dominion Virginia Power and Virginia Natural Gas employees and contractors. Family members of qualified persons are also eligible for membership. We encourage you to promote Tidewater Dominion EFCU and the many benefits it offers to your friends and family.

It exists solely for the benefit of its members by encouraging savings, providing loans and personalized associated services while ensuring sound financial management to safeguard members' assets.
